ABOUT ME
Champagne the youngest of five children, I was born in Pinville, Lousiana. I was first introduce to music at an early age by singing in the church choir, talent shows, and school glee club. At age twelve, my family and I move to Detroit, Michigan. While attending Detroit public school, I recieve both musical and vocal training. I have continued to sing different styles of music with many great artist. Performing lead and background vocal as well as studio recording. I performed with local groups such as Ortheia Barnes the soulful Motown and Gospel singer,Impact 7 Band with soulful Blues, Rock & Roll, Funk, Motown and Jazz, The Wilds Cards seventy pop rock blues band, Danny Tyrell Trio seventy pop rock blues band and Vonnie and Company with the smooth taste of Jazz. which we had the pleasure of opening up for legendary pianist Joe Sample at the Music Hall. Presently I am Performing with my group call the Motor City Blues Crew band performing down home blues, with a taste of funk. Because of my love for rich harmony, the soulful Motown Sound, Gospel, Blues and Jazz, I've created my own unique style. I have performed in dinner clubs and private events such as Baker Keyboard Lounge, Station 885, Boocoo in Royal Oak, Portofino's, Andiamo's, Memphis Smoke, Robusto, Uptown Eatery, Bert's Market Place and Bert's on Broadway. And special events for the Renaissance Ball Room, Ritz Carlton, Burton Manor, Greenfield Village Ball Room, Windsor Festival, Ribs n Soul Festival, Ponitac Arts Beats and Eats Festival, International River day Festival and the Winter Blast Festival. Recently I performed at a benefit for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, hosted by Mitch Album of WJR 760AM. I was also a guest on his show along with the Motor City Blues Crew. I can't say enough about all the musicians and singers that I had performed with and venues I've had the pleasure of performing in. I am very grateful for those opportunities.
