Black Zack, is an amazing artist that has taken "southern soul" to a new level. His new CD "Southern Soul Radio" has fused southern soul with rap and contains lyrics that remind us of many blues songs. The new CD sub-titled "Juke Joint Rap" is definitely an appropriate label for this fantastic CD. Filled with great musical arrangements, and amazing vocals. The CD features collaborations with Force Md, the late Fred Bolton an others. Tracks such as "Row, Row" (an upbeat linedance tune), "Sho Wasn't Me" and "Soul Lover" lend to the diversity of the CD and demonstrate the genius of Black Zack. This Brother has had the foresight to show others that "southern soul", and blues should also be regarded as mainstream.
