Little Junior Crudup's "Doing His Own Thing" CD is one genuine blues CD. Following in the Crudup family tradition Little Junior has managed to take the listener 'down to the Delta" where blues was born, nurtured and a became a unique African-American musical art form. The musical pitch and major scales of Little Junior are deep down pure blues and the lyrics remain true to traditional blues.
His rendition of "The Blues Aint Black NoMore" is demonstrative of the lyrical stories expressing the pain and suffering heard in the music of the authentic blues artist of the past.
Anyone that knows what bona fide blues singer sounds like needs to get this CD. If you don't no "you'd better ask" Little Junior Crudup.
