The cover photo features Brenda singing, dancing and kicking in her Tina Turner persona. Brenda came to the attention of the magazine as a result of her wild and wonderful, crazy, and funny CO-Hosting duties on the "Jim Black and Friends Show.” Now, host of her own Internet musical radio show "UP ALL NIGHT WIT BRENDA WHITE" which airs every Thursday night from 10:00 PM-1:00 AM (EST), at her "new" broadcasting home, The Brenda White Shows at Spreaker.com/ www.spreaker.com/page#!/user/brendawhite11_28_12 Brenda continues with her “wild and wonderful” and crazy ways but still very serious about promoting the music of unsigned, unappreciated artists who can’t payola, and the “old school” musical greats. Brenda also host a political talk show, “LET’S TALK ABOUT IT” that airs every Tuesday night from 9:00 PM-11:00 PM (EST) with CO-Hosts, and the author of "JUST A SEASON” and coming soon, "LEGACY”, and the blog, "Thought Provoking Perspectives", John T. Wills (www.johntwills.com) and the great niece of the legendary blues king, Muddy Waters, Jacqueline Morganfield-Lambert giving us her own "thought provoking" and hard-hitting political commentary.

And yes, Brenda continues on this show to be “wild and wonderful”, funny and outrageous, as they discuss the political goings on in our country. "Let's Talk About It" will make you laugh, fuss, and cuss with Brenda and her crew but, in the end, you will be politically informed and all the wiser.

Artists Can Get Paid!

Artists Can Get Paid!

Every artist performs for many reasons. One of those reasons is to make a little money. No matter if you are on a major label or no label at all, you can get paid if your music is played on the radio, television orin a movie, etc. As many of you know, there are originations that pay songwriters and copyright holders of songs. They are quite well known:BMI, ASCAP and SEASAC. If you write your own music or know someone who does, you or they, more than likely, belong to one or more of the mentioned originations. First, you or they must sign up and register.

Now, let's say you perform a song but you did not write any of the music or lyrics to that song, are you SOL? (oops sorry, forgot that this is a family site!) The answer to that question is NO! If that is the case, what is an artist to do? There is another origination out there that is JUST for artists who perform on a song that gets played on the radio, television or in a movie, etc. That origination is a non profit origination called "Sound Exchange." I am guessing that you are asking yourself,"who is Sound Exchange and how can they help me GET PAID?"

Just as the songwriters and copyright holders have originations such asBMI, ASCAP, SEASAC, Sound Exchange is for the artists that do the actual performances. Radio stations report to the big three as well as Sound Exchange. That means if your name is John Doe and you sing a song written by John Q. Public (who is registered with BMI) and that song gets ANY kind of airplay, then it is reported to BMI and Sound Exchange.

If you are registered with Sound Exchange then you will get money each time that song plays! There is now well over 7,000 artists signed and unsigned that have some money waiting for them uncollected. All that is required to getthis money is to register! Where is the catch you ask? There is none, because the registration fee is zip, zilch, natta- nothing at all.It istotallyFREE to sign up can collect your money. It's that easy.

Just visit the Sound Exchange website athttp://www.soundexchange.com and register. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to Contactus.
